26 Reds is a weekly online magazine of social comment and criticism that attempts to find meaning between the lines of art and culture. Presenting wide range of content through a variety of formats every week; including regular columns, essays, interviews, Photography and diaries, we blur the lines between traditional criticism, blogging and reporting, at times questioning their very definitions. Writing that is both ardent and hip without the crude ironic trappings of modern online criticism
The commentators come from as wide range of worlds; artists, writers, scholars, and ne’er-do-wells. All independent thinkers in their fields, most have little professional journalistic experience, and that’s the way we like it.
26 Reds objective is to offer a smart, sincere, (sometimes sarcastic) and funny look at our modern life. A look that goes beyond the typically ironic online fodder to find significance. Too often the discourse of our generation is debased to a coolness-pissing contest. We’re looking to go beyond that, even to abandon it.
